This is an animation teaching kids shapes and colours. There are better ways of teaching kids but this is a good way in which kids who have learnt the alphabet and shapes see how much they remember. To improve this animation, there should be a little longer pause before the colour or name of the shape is told. This gives kids the chance to guess think a bit more about the answers.

This is a short animation which teaches kids the 5 senses. I like the way it shows the animation. I don't think this would be ideal for very young kids. This animation might be ideal for ages 7 and over. Its not the information that makes it not ideal for younger children. I think kids as young 4 years would get a bit bored of watching the animation. For younger kids, the ideal way is to put the message or information across using a story like I am doing for my animation. This is an animation I found. Its a kids series. When designing characters, animators try to stick to using simple shapes like squares, rectanngles, circles, triangles and more. I needed to show a girl with a bike in my animation and I found his as a good reference. I think its good the way the boy character has a face triangle shaped. It certainly convinces the audience that it is a face. The animation also cuts out animating difficult bits like walking at places often. Instead they show the character's top half moving and don't show the character walking. This is done by many animators. This animation of learning to count to 100 is simple but its not the right way to teach the number 1-100. There would be too many numbers all in one go to learn. If a child already knows the alphabet, then this kind of animation can be used to practice the numbers again. Although making animation simple is ideal, if this animation needed to be made a little less simple, I would say perhaps add a border around it. This is a good animation overall but I don't think that this is a good way for children to learn the colours. While listening to the song, the attention of the child goes off what the words of the song are and they would end up enjoying listening to the song more. All animations have their own style. This is a children animation which is 2d and although the characters and the drawings are rough doodles, the animation is very effective. The animation has used textures from photos and this makes it nice. The background used is not too complicated. I decided that I wanted to do an animation for kids which sent a message across to them. With my dad being a dentist, I thought I could do something which will make the children change their mind about eating sweets and chocolates. I had a look at lots of animations. This is the animation that inspired me for the story I am doing I decided to look on the different styles of 2d animation and anime is an animation type that I decided to use of. I decided that I was going to do my dissertation on anime. Some of the animation of 2d I had looked at were influenced by anime such as The powerpuff girls. For drawing my character of the girl, I did research and found this useful video below. I realised that my character would use a lot of the exaggeration principle. This is an animation that I found which inspired how to show the scene of the park at the start. Also this uses good simple ways of doing trees. Toward the 2nd half of the animation, it is shown that the 1st half of it is a dream. My animation also shows a dream. The animation showed a boy on a bench in a simple way as well. My animation needed to show a girl but this helped me show her in a simple way on the chair. This is an animation that I like. At the 1.09 moment, it shows a child getting off a cycle in a really quick simple way. It gave me an aidea as to how to make a child come off very quickly.
